About us

What is the knowledge base?

The »knowledge base« is a video platform where experts and founders share their know-how in short Q&A videos.
In future the »sessions« section will be complemented by »courses«, providing a more detailed view on specific topics, and feedback options for the community will be offered.

Who we are

The Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society was established to enable innovative scientific research in the field of Internet and society. The Institute wants to observe the development of the Internet in its interplay with societal transformation processes.

The research project Innovation and Entrepreneurship contributes to a better understanding of the supporting and hindering factors of Internet-enabled entrepreneurship. In cooperation with Berlin-based institutions from within the startup scene, we offer three different services: the »startup clinics«, the »knowledge base«, and the »network«.

The research project Innovation and Entrepreneurship works on exchange with the Factory, and Google for Entrepreneurs.

What we do

The research project Innovation and Entrepreneurship offers »startup clinics« where PhDs discuss with founders about their business model and guide them to a network of consultants and mentors. Frequently asked questions are collected and offered as short Q&A videos at the »knowledge base«. To encourage the communication between practitioners, researchers, and startups, we offer events and workshops (»network«).
